Nascar heads North this weekend to the New Hampshire Motor Speedway for the Foxwoods Resort Casino 301. NHMS is a 1.058 mile oval located in Loudon, New Hampshire and has hosted MENCS races since the 90’s. Here are some of the the headlines heading into this weekend.
Nascar continues the use of PJ1 traction compound.
For the 2nd straight weekend Nascar will be using the PJ1 traction compound to provide more grip in the turns to open up more passing lanes and promote more side by side racing. In my opinion NHMS has always been one of the more boring races of the season and it wouldn’t surprise me if that trend continues this weekend.
Austin Dillion missing a sponsor?
As I was watching the haulers arrive at the track yesterday on YouTube, I noticed something off on the gold #3 hauler that carries Dillion’s car to the track. The hauler was missing the Dow Chemicals logo. Dow Chemicals has been a long time partner with RCR since Dillion’s rookie year in 2014. According to Bob Pockrass on Twitter, Dow has a contract trough 2020.
RCR says Dow is re-signed for 2020. … The company is going through a transition with its strategies and the current plan is for the Dow logos to return in February. #nascar
