Again, here as another win, for legitimacy purposes. It was on a 7 game slate a while back, and I had entered in a $50 tournament, and came out with the results. Like I said yesterday, I’m more geared towards tournament play rather then 50/50, and those winnings are exactly why. My best luck comes from 5-7 game slates where it is easier to go through each and every matchup that day, and it doesn’t take all day to where it would on a 13-14 game slate. Also I should mention, for MLB I tend to stick with Fanduel for my daily fantasy as opposed to Draft Kings. The point system is a little bit different for both, seems like home runs are king for Fanduel, and consistency is key on Draft Kings.
Today we have another 7 game slate, with a few high end pitchers taking the mound, and a few teams that could score a heavier run total than others with the pitchers they are going against.
Pitchers to Pick:
Gerrit Cole– The highest priced pitcher for today’s slate ($11,500) and for good reason. He will be taking on the Angels at home. He is 8-5, with a 3.28 ERA, and 161 strikeouts over the course of just over 109 innings. I’m thinking a high strikeout out day for Cole is in store.
Lucas Giolito– Now this a pitcher that has been solid for the White Sox all season. He comes at a price of $9,600 almost $2,000 less then Cole that sits at the top. Giolito is 11-2 on the season, with a 2.72 ERA, and 115 strikeouts to his 96 innings pitched. He will be facing the Cubs today, which is really the only concern, when the Cubs lineup is on, they are hard to stop.
Kenta Maeda– He has had a decent season so far with the Dodgers sitting at 7-4 with a 3.78 ERA, and 88 strikeouts to 88 innings pitched. Maeda will be going up against the Padres tonight. He also comes at, what I think, is an extremely low cost ($6,700). Kenta would be a great a play here if you are looking for more higher priced bats.
Teams and Batters that are in a promising position tonight:
Houston Astros- The whole lineup is in play tonight going against Andrew Heaney of the Angels. The Astros are at home going up against his 5.40 ERA, I see 6 or 7 runs batted in for this lineup tonight.
Story, Dahl, Arenado- I see a big night for 3 going against Robbie Ray and the Diamondbacks tonight. They should be the 2,3, and 4 hitters in the lineup.
PHI @ NYM- This could go either way, both teams have two quality pitchers on the mound today in Arietta for PHI, and Syndergaard for the NYM. However, both teams have a high potential to bring in runs whenever they play. 1B Alonso, and OF Conforto for the Mets wouldn’t be a bad play. Either would Harper or Hoskins for Philly.
