Quarterback- I don’t think that anyone that knows football, questions Carson Wentz’s talent, because it is clearly there. Can he stay on the field? hope so because his backup Foles, is gone and there is no experience behind him left. Everything that the Eagles will be this season is if Wentz stays injury free.
Running Backs- Jordan Howard will probably take the lead, if they even have a lead back, they could take turns picking who is in the backfield. Philly does a good job playing to all their running backs strengths. They also use the short passing game for a run game as well, so I don’t see any running backs going for over 500 yards this season.
Wide Receiver- The Eagles got a pretty good group of Wide Outs. Alshon Jeffery leads the way, with the older veteran Desean Jackson coming back to Philly on the other side, and probably seeing Nelson Agholor in the slot. They got a solid 4th receiver in Braxton Miller as well so they could work through injuries if need be.
Tight End- Zach Ertz is a do it all tight end. He seems to always find a way to get open. The Eagles don’t really have depth at this spot however, if he were to go down it would be a really big hit to the Eagles offense.
Offensive Line- Solid group that is used to pass blocking more then blocking the run at this point. If Carson Wentz were to go down, I question whether how good the blocking vs. the run would be. It could go other way here, but not a huge concern here. They did pick up Jason Peters from Buffalo who is a great pick up to slide into the left tackle spot.
Defense- The Eagles have a great front 4, with experience. Which they will need because it looks like all their starting linebackers this season will be new to the team. The line better be ready to get pressure on the QB because there secondary has a few questions marks, but Ronald Darby was a pretty good pick up.
If Carson Wentz stays healthy they will go to playoffs, if not they are doomed.
