A Football Pilgrimage

Whether it’s the Western Wall, the Vatican or Mecca, many religions have a place of historical significance. In the Church of Football, Lambeau Field is our Mecca. If Canton is its birthplace, Lambeau is its temple.

Of the 32 NFL markets, Green Bay reigns supreme in its significance to the sport. A tiny market with roughly 100,000 residents and a stadium seemingly in the middle of a neighborhood, the citizens of Green Bay are fortunate to have so much access to the team and that attachment resonates throughout the city. Make no mistake about it, traditionally speaking, Green Bay should have no business hosting an NFL franchise; but I dare anyone to try to take the franchise away.

Regardless of who you root for, a trip to Lambeau Field to walk the halls of the greats, take in the history at the Packer Hall of Fame, is a must have on every football fans bucket list.
